Wyoming General Financial Power of Attorney Form

The Wyoming general financial power of attorney form is a document that permits a Principal to delegate powers to an Agent of their choosing to manage their banking and other financial accounts when the Principal is incompetent or is on an extended absence. The document will not remain in effect in the event of incapacitation or disability. This document shall not provide any powers over the Principal’s health care decisions. In order for this document to be effective, it must be signed in the presence of a notary. The document may be revoked at any time as long as the Principal is of sound mind.

Step 3 – Titled Sections – Review the following:

  • Third Parties
  • Compensation
  • Disclosure

Step 4 – Signatures – Submit the following before a notary:

  • Printed name of Principal
  • Date the signature in dd/month format
  • Signature of Principal
  • AND
  • Agent’s printed name
  • Read and agree to the attestation
  • Agent’s signature
  • Date signature in mm/dd/yyyy format
  • AND
  • Successor Agent’s printed name (optional)
  • Review the Agent’s attestation
  • Signature of Agent
  • Date Successor’s signature in mm/dd/yyyy format

Step 5 – Notary Acknowledgement –

  • The notary shall witness the signatures of Principal and Agent’s
  • The notary shall make the document effective by completing the remainder of the acknowledgement section of the documement

Step 6 – Acknowledgement and Acceptance of Appointment as Agent –

  • Submit Agent’s printed name
  • Review and agree to the acknowledgement
  • Agent’s signature
  • Date the signature in mm/dd/yyyy format

Step 7 – Acceptance of Appointment as Successor Agent –

  • Submit Successor Agent’s printed name
  • Review and agree to the acknowledgement
  • Successor Agent’s signature
  • Date the signature in mm/dd/yyyy format

Step 8 – Witnesses Attestation –

  • Enter the respective, printed names of the witnesses
  • Both witnesses must read and agree to the attestation
  • Each witness must provide their signatures
