Vermont Real Estate ONLY Power of Attorney Form

The Vermont real estate only power of attorney form is a document provided by a Principal so that they may name a temporary Agent to oversee delegation of specific powers regarding the sale, acquisition or refinancing of real property, on behalf of the Principal. The document, once completed, must be acknowledged by a Notary Public and at least one other witness. The document may be revoked with written notice to the Agent at any time.

How to Write

Step 1 – Parties – Download the document and enter:

  • Insert the Principal’s name and address
  • Insert the name of the appointed Agent

Step 2 – Delegation of Power

  • Select one or all of the options
  • Enter the address of the premises

Step 3 – Term – Enter the following:

  • In the line provided, enter the expiration date in mm/dd/yyyy format

Step 4 – Powers Options – Review the following:

  • Delegation of Powers
  • Transfer/Gift to Agent
  • Skills and Expertise of Agent

Step 5 – Signatures – Enter the following:

  • Date of execution of the document indd/mm/yy format
  • Principal’s signature
  • Printed name of the Principal

Step 6 – Witness Affirmation – Provide the following information:

  • The witness must carefully review and agree to the affirmation
  • Enter the name of the witness in the first line of the document
  • Submit the witness’ signature
  • Submit the witness’ printed name

Step 7 – Notary Acknowledgement –

  • Once the notary has witness the signatures, the notary shall complete the remainder of the document in acknowledgment of it’s validity
